iPad mini 2022: What do we want to see?

The next iPad Mini could end up being the Mini (2023), not the 2022 model as we talk about here, but we hope Apple can release a new integrated tablet soon. The latest iPad to be introduced was the iPad Air (2022), with a few major enhancements that can show us what the new Mini can look like, including 5G connectivity and M1 chipset.

The iPad Mini (2022) or (2023) will be the seventh model in range, so the Mini 7 in other words, or a single leak suggests it can remain as the iPad mini Pro.No matter what name you call it whenever it arrives, we are starting to hear rumors about it, and you will find it below, along with our thoughts on the possible release date and price.

iPad mini (2022) rumored specifications:

Ipad mini 2022 Rumored Release date and price:

There aren’t many rumors about when the iPad mini (2022) might be launched, but one source said in November 2021 that Samsung Display had already sent a sample to Apple’s slide, suggesting it could arrive in 2022.

If possible, then September 2022 is probably where we will probably see it, as the iPad mini (2021) arrived in September 2021. That means it could be launched next to the iPhone 14. The launch event in March is hosted by the company. on March 8, but this is not in line with the times we have heard before.

That being said, this is not the Apple tablet update list every year, so since we already got the iPad mini in 2021, there is a chance we will have to wait until 2023 or later.

As for the price, one source says the iPad mini (2022) will cost less than the iPad mini (2021), starting at $ 499 / £ 479 / AU $ 749. But we would not think that Apple would raise the price so much.

News and leaks:

So far only one iPad mini (2022) has been released, but it is large, explaining many possible details. Obviously, the tablet will have an 8.3-inch 120Hz screen, an A15 Bionic chipset (like the current model, though with a slightly higher clock speed of 3.23GHz), 4GB of RAM, and an initial capacity of 128GB, from 64GB on the current model.

However, since there is no leak confirming any of this, and since the source does not yet have track history, we can take this with a little salt.

What do we want to see?

The iPad mini (2021) is a nice slide, but with the following changes the iPad mini (2022) will be much better.

1. Better battery life

In our review we found that the battery life of the iPad mini (2021) was strong but not unique. It will last about 8 hours of heavy use, and possibly less if the Apple Pencil is added to the figures.

Slate size may be a limiting factor here as there may not be too much battery space, but the fact is that the popularity of the iPad Pro 11 (2021) gives a better life, so we would like Apple to try and make some improvements here for the iPad mini (2022).

2. Extra power

The iPad mini (2021) is not quite powerful. After all, it has the same chipset as the iPhone 13. But it has only 4GB of RAM, and although its chipset is good, it is not like the M1 in the latest iPad Pro models.

This is Apple’s balance – charge the iPad mini very much and the price will definitely go up, but we think there should be a strong slide market with a smaller screen, so we’d like to see Apple rely on it. that in the next model, even if it also introduces a slightly stronger version.

3. Stylus on box

The Apple Pencil is an essential accessory for the iPad mini, with the 2021 model even having its own connector and charger on the right edge of the slate, yet the Apple Pencil does not actually come with the tablet.

Instead, you should buy it separately, and at a very high cost. This is not surprising when you consider that there are no Apple tablets that come with a stylus in the box, but the need to buy one makes the total price of the iPad mini (2021) less attractive.

Also, some rival tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 come with a built-in stylus, so we’d love to see Apple do the same with the iPad mini (2022).

4. Face ID

Outside of sports with a modern design (without a home button) the iPad mini (2021) still relies on a fingerprint scanner – built-in power button on the upper edge.

This is not a bad option, but we would love to see Apple add Face ID for the iPad mini (2022). If it can keep a fingerprint scanner for users to have options it is better, but that is not possible.

5. mmWave support

The iPad mini (2021) optionally comes with 5G support, but without mmWave support. This is a high frequency 5G that offers very high download speeds, and it is probably not surprising that it is not supported, as many countries have limited mmWave infrastructure, and the US is also very limited.

But its support can be useful for those areas that have it, and it will help to prove slate in the future, as the installation of mmWave is likely to improve over time. So we want to see what this iPad mini (2022) offers.

So, above are some of the rumored specs of ipad mini 2022. Also, the things we want in the upcoming model of apple ipad mini.
