Logitech Signature M650 review: A silent mouse that speaks volume

Whether you work overnight shifts or share a workplace with others, quiet mouse are a way to get to a quiet and productive place. I checked a few of them myself, which included the Logitech M330 SILENT PLUS and the best-selling M220 and I always found small form features that were uncomfortable after a day’s use. So when Logitech introduced the Mouse Signature M650 last month, it really hit me. And I was literally shocked.

Logitech signature M650 is available in standard and large size, left-handed and right-handed, and for Business variants. However, the new Signature M650 sells for $ 39.99 on the Logitech website and at retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. I have been driving the Big Business model, right, for the past month and I firmly believe it is the right mouse for business.

But since the M650 is different from its predecessor, a few mistakes have dampened my hopes of becoming a mouse that I have always longed for.Now let’s have a look at the new Logitech Signature M650 specifications.

Let’s have a look at some of it’s Pros and Cons.

  • SilentTouch makes this one of the most quiet mice out there.
  • Two year battery life.
  • Programmable buttons via LogiOptions+.
  • Available in small/large and left/right-handed.

  • Narrow design doesn’t make for the best grip.
  • Takes a few seconds to wake.
  • No USB-C charging.

Wanna know more about it’s design and setup?

  1. Setup

When you release the Logitech Signature M650 mouse box, you are reminded that it is not a peripheral for the MX Master. The standard M650 comes with a clam-shell plastic package, and the business model comes with a stainless cardboard box. Each mouse comes equipped with a Duracell OEM AA battery and a LogiBolt USB receiver installed in place of the battery. This space – which is usually found in most wireless mice – allows you to keep the dongle on the move.

I was using a mouse with my Logitech MX Keys keyboard, so the LogiBolt USB receiver was my favorite way to connect. I work dual functions. I simply switched the mouse button and my Windows PC automatically detected and installed the required drivers. If you are using a macOS, iPad OS, Chrome OS, Android, or Linux-enabled device, then Bluetooth pairing may be a better option. That being said, the M650 range of system integration is quite impressive and outperforms many high-end mice, including the MX Master 3. Let’s look at its features.

  • Smartwheel Scrolling

With the touch of your finger, you can switch between line-by-line accuracy to focus on details and scroll at high speed to blow air on long pages.

  • Optimized Workflow

Use the Logitech Options + Windows and macOS software to customize side buttons with time-saving shortcuts such as forward / backward and copy / paste.

  • Silent Touch

Logitech’s Silent Touch technology reduces mouse noise by up to 90% compared to other  traditional mice, providing a quiet working environment.

  1. Design:

The M650 comes in standard and large sizes, as well as left and right hand configurations. Logitech recommends the standard size for people with small to medium hands (<7.5 inches), as well as the large size of large hands. We have found a large size that fits well, and my hand is able to rest freely on the curvature of a mouse.

The main two and two adjustable side buttons are developed with Logitech’s SilentTouch technology, which can help you avoid being distracted by mouse clicks or being caught during calls. With an ergonomic design and a soft thumb, you can always produce longer. The Logitech Signature M650 is estimated to last about two years on a single battery, depending on usage. Also compatible with Windows 10, macOS 10.10, Chrome OS, Linux, Android 8, and iPadOS 13.4 or later.

At $ 39.99, the Logitech Signature M650 has the right price for features and hardware you get. Easy, reliable, quiet, and makes a special travel mouse. We are very pleased to see that Logitech continues to integrate its integration with the software system into its peripherals, no matter what the price and product category.
