According to the rumors, a new 13-inch model could come soon, but we haven’t heard much at all about it. However, some rumors suggested the 13-inch MacBook Pro would come in October 2022.

For now, in this, we focus on the 13-inch MacBook pro that we are expecting to see refreshed first. Apple last updated the 13-inch MacBook Pro entry-level in November 2020 when it first released its first M1 Macs. It comes with the MacBook Air and M1‌ Mac mini, and all three product lines will be updated.

Specifications and Features:

Rumors suggest that the 13-inch MacBook Pro will not see design updates, continuing to install the same chassis as the Touch Bar. Not all rumors have surfaced about Touch Bar. However, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will remove it.

It is a low-cost laptop that’s why Apple will not include a mini-LED display and is not expected to support the 120Hz ProMotion upgrade values. The biggest change in a 13-inch MacBook Pro is the M2 chip. Rumors said there is no design change in this model.

M2 Chip:

Apple has been working on the “M2” chip. According to Mark Gurman, the new 13-inch mac pro comes with an M2 chip. The M2 is expected to have an 8-core CPU similar to the M1, but there will be improvements in speed and efficiency as it can be built in a small space.

For GPU upgrades, it will have additional GPU cores. 9 GPU and 10-core GPU options are expected to be available, from the 7 and 8 GPU options found on the original M1. The M2 will not be as powerful as the M1 Pro and M1 Max, which will be followed by M2‌ Pro and M2‌ Max.
